Search is still king of the internet and how someone finds your business is a matter of life or death, well at least for your business. And how close your business appears at the top of search results should be an integral component of your digital marketing and communication strategy.

Search Engine Optimization is the process by which you optimize the factors such as content, architecture and code of your website to improve its ranking in organic search results.  So when someone is searching for the widgets (or the product or service you offer) and types it into a Google search box, you want your business to appear in the first two pages of results, preferably on page one and ideally at the top.
